About the Fibers

Fiber Types
I handpaint on a broad variety of wools and wool/other fibers blends. Here I'll list the major characteristics of the fiber types you'll meet when you look through my products.

Wools:

Merino (21 or 23 microns)
This is a very fine and soft wool type. It comes from South Africa (Cape) and is from non-mulsed sheep. Perfect for hand spinning, hand felting and many other craft uses.

Bluefaced Leicester (BFL)
BFL wool is fine and dense with a good lustre and is long. Perfect for hand spinning, hand felting and many other craft uses.

This is not a breed in itself, but in fact wool from the Falklands. It is 28 Mic, soft and easy to work with. Perfect for hand spinning, hand felting and many other craft uses.
